Today I went for my first run after the Gobble. I've decided to post each time I run, so that I can keep track of my progress and be more encouraged to run regularly.
It was my first run in the rain, which was kind of a nuisance but allowed me to LEAP over big puddles, which is always fun. My FiveFingers aren't really good for the rain so my feet were sopping by the time I was done. I suppose that's the point, really, for shoes that simulate barefoot running. I'm certainly more aware of and connected to my feet with these shoes, though sometimes that's more of a bother than a joy.
I did a very short run, just 5x2x5, alternating running and walking. It was only 1/3 of what I did for the Gobble, but I needed a nice short run to get back in the swing of things. I was worn out by the end (which tells me that I shouldn't take over a week off in the future!) but in a good way.
